 <title>The Canadian Society of Chronobiology Conference</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The Canadian Society of Chronobiology will be hosting its first ever conference in Toronto from May 24-26th. Dr. Russell Foster from Oxford University&amp;nbsp;will present a free general public lecture entitled &amp;quot;The Rhythms of Life - Body clocks, sleep and health&amp;quot; at Innis College (Town Hall Theatre) on May 24th from 5:00-6:30 PM. All are welcome to attend the free public lecture!  <title>Nicholas Provart, David Guttman, and Alan Moses awarded a Genome Canada Grant</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;These CSB researchers, along with EEB researcher Stephen Wright, were awarded a $1 million grant in the most  recent Genome Canada Bioinformatics and Computational Biology competion for their  &amp;quot;Large data sets and novel tools for plant biology for use in international consolidation-tier data repositories and portals&amp;quot; grant proposal.  <title>David Hogg won the American Physiological Society 2012 Scholander Award</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;David Hogg, a PhD student in the Buck Lab, has won the prestigious 2012 Scholander Award from the American Physiological Society&amp;rsquo;s Comparative and Evolutionary Physiology Section. The award recognizes an outstanding research presentation by a young investigator and includes the opportunity to organize a symposium for next years&amp;rsquo; meeting. Dave&amp;rsquo;s poster entitled: ROS scavenging mimics anoxia by enhancing GABA receptor-mediated electrical suppression in anoxia-tolerant turtle cortex, beat out 29 others.&lt;/p&gt;
