Research:
To develop the fruit fly as a model organism to study social behavior. For example, in one project we work on the role of circadian clocks in the coordination of mating in the fruit fly. These studies include methods from molecular biology, anatomy, physiology (measurements of cuticular hydrocarbons by GC-FID), and behaviour
